Beauty in Focus: Come for the Content, Stay for the Strategy

Virtual consultations are now a preference for 60% RealSelf consumers. They’re also driving most of the weekly consumer-doctor contacts on RealSelf to doctors who offer them—3x more contacts each week than their counterparts who haven’t added virtual consults to their profiles, in fact.

This consumer responsiveness is why we encourage doctors to ramp up virtual consults if they haven’t already. It’s also why RealSelf is stepping up our own virtual outreach to aesthetic consumers.

Introducing Beauty in Focus

Our first major launch in this vein is Beauty in Focus, a new virtual content series that explores the news, trends, and issues currently shaping medical aesthetics.

Consumers will join a lineup of leading doctors, influencers, industry experts and RealSelf editors for live panel discussions covering all things modern beauty, from medical-grade skin care and innovative nonsurgical technologies to highly-considered plastic surgery.

The inaugural half-hour Beauty in Focus session, “Here Comes the Sun: The Best Products and In-Office Treatments to Prevent and Reverse Sun Damage,” is supported by SkinCeuticals and will focus on need-to-know tips for sun protection, particularly as many people are emerging from spending more time than usual indoors.

  • When: Thursday, May 28th @ 11:00am PT / 2:00pm ET
  • Featured Speakers: Carolyn Hsu, Head of Content at RealSelf; Catt Sadler, TV and podcast host; Dr. Sonia Badreshia-Bansal, Board-Certified Dermatologist; Erica Martin, Senior Education Manager at Skinceuticals.
Doctors Welcome

You’re welcome to share our invite to this free event with your patients and social media followers, who in addition to expert content will also have a chance to receive a sample of Skinceuticals H.A. Intensifier (a corrective serum that amplifies skin’s hyaluronic acid levels).

It’s also a great opportunity to get a feel for consumer-facing virtual experiences and gather insights that might be useful for virtual consults, virtual speaking engagements you’re invited to participate in, and even non-consultation virtual engagements you might be contemplating hosting yourself.
